Six years ago, there was a little kid who was working on mastering straws, and who was incredibly dubious about us. Happy day, Aglet. I’m so glad to be your mama.

Mid winter update

The kids have gotten old enough so that they don’t like me sharing their pictures as often. But here is what we are doing recently. Both kids are losing teeth like crazy. Fortunately I work in a building that has a bank branch in it, or else we’d run out of gold dollars. Chinese Lunar New Year is coming up soon, so there will be a performance at school for that. My parents’ dogs are now living with us. We are all still sad about the loss of my dad. That’s where we are.

My dad died

On Friday, my dad died. It was a surprise to us all. He loved his grandkids so very much. This picture is from last Thanksgiving, so nearly a year ago.

Teeth, dog, Michigan

Rhizome lost another tooth.

We got a fine orange and black puppy.

And then we went to Michigan. I apparently took no pictures of the kids in Michigan.

Holy cow.

They figured it out. 

Ramen!

There is a new place in town that does chicken based ramen (as opposed to the more traditional pork). They have kids half size bowls, too.

Breaking the silence

Hey! Still here. I am a little more stressed than usual by current developments in the USA, so that eats my brain. But I am getting used to it, she says froggily, so let’s get back to the kid pictures. 

Our new house is very near two small playgrounds, and the kids love it. It is March 5th, and nearly 60f, so we are out at one.

NoCoast

Tonight we went to our favorite hipster craft show. We stopped at a Mexican place for dinner, and the kids had chicken wings. 

Then, they did some art.
